Iterating for Impact: Crafting an Improved Deals View

This case study will highlight the iterative process to revamp a core screen of the product and improve UX.

Context

Sales managers will have multiple sales reps working under them. They would want to have visibility on the deals their reps own and monitor the progress so they can prepare an accurate forecast to show to their stakeholder (CEO, VP of sales etc.,)

User scenarios

  1. Primary - Managers want to know how a deal is progressing, the stage, amount and next step of a deal to prepare the forecast.

  2. To dive deeper and understand why a deal is going/not going well.

  3. To understand how much of the prospects information was uncovered by the sales rep.

  4. To make sure the stage of the deal is proportional to the information uncovered so that the forecast is accurate.

  5. To find past activity for the deal to review if required.

  6. To know about the account and contacts involved in the deal.
